Highly recommend this book to all moms!!
I am expecting my 5th child, and have been pretty much an exercise-phobe my entire life, and because of that have watched the numbers on the scale increase steadily. A former skinny girl who could eat whatever I wanted and not gain an ounce, I was shocked when I saw that my pre-pregnancy weight was considered overweight! I was determined to keep my weight gain for this pregnancy under my typical 50-60 lbs, so I bought Lindsay's trimester specific dvd's.When I found out that Lindsay was publishing a book on exercising during pregnancy, as well as getting in shape afterwards, I had to have it! In fact, I ordered both the Kindle version, and the softcover so that I could keep a copy to read during breaks at work! What I love about this book is that it not only includes realistic exercises that can be done in a realistic period of time during the day, but ideas for nutrition that do not limit you to salads with no dressing. She understands that people actually like to eat, and eat foods that taste good! There are several recipes that are easy to make, and pleasing to everyone in the family so you do not need to eat special "diet" food while drooling over what the rest of your family is consuming. As a beginner, I did not find that her workouts were impossible to do, as I have found with some other workouts, yet she gives alterations that you can make as someone like me begins to make some progress in their level of fitness. I believe that these exercises would be challenging enough for someone who is currently very active, as well. There are also accommodations for those of us who have diastasis recti.I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to maintain her current level of fitness during pregnancy (or begin to exercise, with doctors approval). I am also looking forward to the challenge of her workouts after I deliver, and getting back into sizes that I have not seen in years, and honestly, helping me achieve the best body and fitness level I have ever had!

Just okay
This book was just okay. I haven't looked at it since I first received it. There is to much reading and no color or pictures to add to the attraction of the book. The book may contain a lot of useful information for those who have time to read it, but I am in school full-time and work full-time so I would personally like an easier read.

AWESOME!
I have used Lindsay's Workouts since I was pregnant with my first. He is now 8-weeks old and I am using her still. As soon as her book came out I immediately purchased it even though I had already had my baby. Comimg from a fitness background myslef, Lindsay's workouts are great. They are challenging and offer many different options depending on how you are feeling. The book is great and I credit it for helping me regain my core (and my sanity) from weeks 0-6 postpartum by giving me something to do for myself. Her Stroller 10 is great and so is really everything else in the book. If you enjoy her book I would HIGHLY recommend the Pregnancy DVD's and her Bootcamp ones for after baby. They are challenging and quick so you can get back to being a mom!!

A great read
Let me first tell you about myself (so you can see who is reading this book). I'm 30, a vegetarian, (training to be) an endurance athlete, and have studied nutrition to the Nth degree in order to have a healthy family that thrives. My husband and I decided to try to get pregnant this January. By April I was signing up for marathons and in the best shape of my life. I also found out I was pregnant :)I know the exact science in regard to the exercise and diet I need to function at my best, but now that I am 3 months pregnant, I have no idea what is safe and what is not safe as far as exercise goes.I searched online for articles and blogs and found nothing helpful, except for Lindsay's book (at this point). I just got it a week ago and am not yet done, but so far I love it. The nutrition part is excellent, it has very sound advice - not a lot of pregnancy books go into such great detail about diet, I really like that about this book. Additionally, the exercises and explanations behind the importance/reason for doing them are great. The descriptions are accurate and the cute images are helpful.I really, really enjoy this book. I do not plan to have any more children, but I will certainly share this book with other expectant mothers.

Cartoon examples should NOT be in a "fitness" book
I did not like this book. There is a LOT of text. It's not light reading & you'd have to read a lot before you get started with the exercises (300 pgs). These 300 pages are the food section, which is more similar to a diet book than a pregnancy book I think, so it wouldn't be for you if you aren't into calorie counting or keeping a food journal (not me).In the fitness section she recommends 1 cardio interval day, 3 strength/stretching circuit days (40 min max for those), and 1 active "family" day. The only things you would need are some hand weights, so this is truly a home workout, which is great. BUT (huge HUGE but) There are no "real" pictures in this book. There are only cartoons of a woman doing the exercise. This is ridiculous for an exercise book! The cartoons are cheesy and not detailed, and then have a long-winded description below it. I only had a vague idea of what she was talking about, and that is terrible especially for yoga poses. Plus the cartoons are spread out over a lot of pages. To do the actual workout you have to flip through 20 pages!! I can just picture how annoying that would actually be...She also sells workout DVDs (which I am assuming are the same circuits) so it would be way easier to just get those then try & follow along with this book. Having both would be a waste of money. I returned this book.
