So glad I ordered this one! For starters, it has that silicone surface that works better and lasts longer than mere fabric. It is thickly padded with foam. When I went to install it, I had an unnerving moment when I feared that it was too small for my ironing board (and I had actually measured before ordering it!) But it took only a little shifting, stretching and adjusting to realize that the fit is excellent: the elastic makes it snug and perfectly smooth without any need for drawstrings or straps. And on top of all these fine features, it has a little pocket that hangs off one side-- perfect for storing all those loose buttons and coins and miscellaneous pesky items that tend to accumulate atop the ironing board. This cover is better than perfect.

I was very happy with this ironing board cover and here's why: quality and the way it fit my 'apartment sized' ironing board (from IKEA many years ago). My board is not as small as a table top, but its still 48" instead of the standard 54. Hard to find a good replacement cover for! This ironing board cover fit it pretty well...so well that I had to wonder how it would have fit a full size board? I'm sure it will but I can envision some major tugging and pulling to get it on a regular sized board (just like some other reviewers said)- so just be forewarned! I'm guessing, however, from the fit on my own board: that once its on a full sized board, it will fit seemlessly and stay beautifully in place (instead of being a little loose like it is on mine), that's because of the bungee cord around the bottom instead of the darn strings that some of them have. Overall: a quality cover at am excellent price!

If the padding was a little thicker, I would have given this 5 stars. However to combat that I put it over a pad I already had and a folded bed sheet. Now my iron board is perfect. As far as installation, it was easier for me to start at the nose and pull and stretch it to the wide end. Doing it wide end first, did not work for me. My board is 54 inches long, and the pad fits snuggly on it. Remember I have another pad and folded bed sheet under it. So if your iron board is this size, it will definitely fit. Start at the nose.

I will start by agreeing with KateE "Cosmic Muffin" who stated a fear that the cover would not fit. I had the same experience. I attempted to put the cover on my board and appeared to come up about 18 inches short. I tried for minutes then decided perhaps I had a defective cover. SO I came here to start the return prpcess and found the reviews section. My advice is two-fold. 1. Don't give up - the cover will fit a 54" board. It will take some muscle and some jockeying, but the cover does go on! 2. Start at the flat end of the board. Trying to put the cover on nose first over the pointed end of the board appears virtually impossible. Once I had the flat end on, the nose took some tugging (and a fear of tearing) but in fact the cover went on much more easily going point last. I also agree with others - the silicone covers do iron better than the cloth covers. Perhaps the reflected heat does help. Finally, it is great to not have dangling ties and cords. The cover is snug and does not slide. Much better than those that have to be retightened every so often.

It was very disappointing to open the product and realize it was Made in China, contrary to what the product listing states. It is very lightweight compared to the ironing board cover we have used for the past ten years, so I can't imagine this one lasting. The polyurethane foam pad is integrated into the cover but is very, very thin. The bungee cord attachment is really just simple elastic and there is no back up as it ages and loses its elasticity. I guess for the price, it's ok, but I was expecting something more substantial. I am returning it and going to look for a heavier-duty cover.

Just okay - I bought this for my Mom to replace her very old ironing board cover which has held up for about 15 years. She's on vacation but I'm already on-line looking for something else because she's going to be disappointed when she sees this one! It looks very cheap:-( The silicone coating looks pale and poor quality, the padding is super thin, and I'm not gonna lie - that pocket hanging off the side just looks plain weird! I'm quite embarrassed that I replaced my Mom's old one with this and I will definitely be getting a different one before she gets back! The only thing is that the fit is very nice and tight - a perfect fit. Too bad I can look at it and already see it won't hold up through the years!

Top quality product. Exactly what I expected. Fit ironing board very well. So many times covers don't fit well and really make ironing more difficult than it should be. There was a nice little white cotton square pocket that dropped down from the back side of the cover. I don't remember reading that in the advertising post, but the pocket made the cover even more pleasing to me. The cover looks durable and like it will last for a long time.

After hassling with an old misshapen ironing board cover I finally broke down and got a new one. Why did I wait so long? Couldn't find one to suit me at the department stores, but Amazon came through again! This fits perfectly and is nice and sturdy. A thick layer on the top of the board lets the iron work smoothly over items I'm ironing.

The product arrived on time. Has a snug fit that is sized perfectly for my standard ironing board. My existing pad was too thin and the grid pattern of the ironing board frame was showing on my clothes after ironing. This pad is sufficiently thick that ironing thin material works great.
